πCalc

Unlock Endless Possibilities

Discover the endless possibilities of our πCalc calculator.

The first calculator based on the Raspberry PI Pico RP2040 processor and powered by MicroPython/CircuitPython. Our πCalc is more than just a simple calculator, it’s a platform for creative programming in Python. You can not only perform basic arithmetic operations, but also bring your unique ideas to life. Enhance your math and Python skills and solve complex tasks in a fun and interactive way.

The Perfect Data Logger and Display Device

Our πCalc is also perfect for displaying data from MQTT, monitoring temperature data and logging it to an SD card. It features a color display with integrated capacitive touch, sound output through a built-in speaker or headphone jack and microphone. The πCalc is lightweight and compact, making it easy to take with you wherever you go.

The built-in SD card slot allows you to easily save and run your own Python programs, and the exposed IO ports provide the opportunity to attach boards to extend the calculator’s functionality as you see fit. The πCalc also includes a battery-buffered RTC with a ready-to-go Python library, making it easy to time stamp log files or data files on the SD card.

Expand Your πCalc's Capabilities with πShields

The πCalc is an expandable calculator that can be enhanced with πShields. These πShields are designed to expand the functionality of the calculator without needing extensive knowledge of electronics. Currently, three πShields are already in development, offering even more possibilities for your πCalc. We also plan to develop additional πShields, such as an oscilloscope, thermal imaging, and a WLAN shield with ESP32, all of which can be programmed in Python. With the πCalc, you can easily connect to the internet and communicate via MQTT. The user-friendly IDE’s “Thonny” or “Mu” make it easy for even beginners with no programming experience to create and run their own Python programs.

Programming Made Easy with the πCalc:
Run Anything on Raspberry PI Pico Processor

Advanced developers can also take advantage of the πCalc’s Raspberry PI Pico processor and run anything imaginable on it in C, C++ or assembler, turning your calculator into a drum machine or game console. πCalc is a versatile tool for makers, and it’s easy to learn how to program I2C and SPI devices with a few lines of code. We strive to keep the system as open and extensible as possible. Don’t miss out on this opportunity and get ready for your next adventure with your πCalc! Support our project and be the first to own your own πCalc calculator now. Programming our device with Python, C, C++ or ASM is incredibly fun and enjoyable.
